Ukrzaliznytsia presented the first modernized suburban train adapted for transporting passengers with disabilities. This is reported by the press service UZ.
"Today we present the first suburban train in the history of Ukraine, modernized according to new standards and taking into account the needs of people with disabilities," the message says.
It is reported that the train consists of 10 carriages equipped with ramps and places for people in wheelchairs. The signs on the train are in Braille, and the toilets are accessible to people with disabilities. The train also has mounts for transporting bicycles.
The modernization of the train cost 70 million UAH, and the introduction of inclusiveness in it cost almost 2,2 million UAH. UZ plans to create 6 more such trains by the end of the year
