For the first time in recent years, the tariff for electricity in Ukraine is not increasing, but decreasing.
Starting from October 1, 2021, the tariff for the population of Ukraine will be UAH 1,44 per kWh, subject to the consumption of up to 250 kWh per month.
And for all those who consume more than 250 kWh per month (such approximately 20% of Ukrainians), the tariff will remain the same — UAH 1,68 for the entire amount of consumption.
"Thanks to the financial model of the assignment of special obligations (PSO) developed by the Ministry of Energy, the state power producers, NAEK "Energoatom" and PJSC "Ukrhydroenergo", which ensure the fulfillment of special obligations, received the right to sell the entire volume of output on market terms.
At the expense of the received income, state generation will compensate for the difference between the tariffs for the population and the market price of electricity," says the press service of the Ministry of Energy.
