Yesterday evening, October 26, a fatal road accident occurred in Kharkiv. At the intersection of Gagarin and Odessa streets, Infiniti, Chevrolet and Skoda collided. As a result, one man died, three were injured. This was reported by the press service of the Kharkiv region police.
According to the investigation, the 16-year-old Infinity driver tried to cross the intersection at a red traffic light and collided with a Chevrolet.
"It was established that an Infiniti car ran a red light and collided with a red Chevrolet Aveo car, as well as with a second parked Skoda car," said Deputy Chief of the Kharkiv Oblast Police Department Serhiy Chyzh.
The 58-year-old Chevrolet driver died on the spot. Three passengers of the Infiniti - two 19-year-old boys and a 16-year-old girl with serious injuries are in the city hospital's intensive care unit.
"Four people were taken to the hospital. At present, doctors are providing them with medical care. The condition is stable," added the deputy chief of the Kharkiv Region police department.
Law enforcement officers established that the drivers of both vehicles had no signs of alcohol intoxication. The culprit of the accident was also hospitalized, but was later released.

The 16-year-old Infiniti driver was detained by law enforcement officers. Criminal proceedings have been opened on the fact of the accident. The guy faces up to eight years in prison with a three-year or no driving ban.
Meanwhile, the daughter of the deceased Chevrolet driver appealed to caring people to help find a good lawyer and witnesses to the accident.
"We are looking for an experienced lawyer who can be with us in this situation, and people who yesterday caught up with the culprit of the accident and detained him. I am asking you to find yourself. Don't be afraid. It's not scary. It's scary to live later with what you don't do now," Anastasia Nosova said.
She added that on October 27, she and her brother are at the morgue where their father lies, although their family had planned for that day "a very joyful and long-awaited date for dad, first of all, as for the father of his children."
Also, the father of the 16-year-old Infiniti driver said that his son is not to blame and that they "want to make him a criminal", including that this was a "planned action".
