The war cannot drag on for years or turn into a frozen conflict

The full-scale war that Russia is waging against Ukraine cannot drag on for years or turn into a frozen conflict.

Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, said this in an interview with a Russian publication Meduza.

As Podolyak explained, Ukraine's resource capabilities are gradually growing. Despite the fact that our country does not quickly receive certain components for conducting hostilities, the pace will increase in the future, as the military-industrial complexes of our country and partners work more and more intensively.

"It's just that before the war, no one produced tens of thousands of projectiles a month — and now there is a completely different perception of the needs of the military industry and the necessary amount of weapons is being prepared," Podolyak noted.

At the same time, he is convinced that Russia's resources are gradually decreasing.

"War is very expensive. Practically everything that Russia had, it has already spent on the war. Buying some or other consumables somewhere to produce additional volumes of high-precision weapons and missiles is trying to find someone on the sanctioned market. Plus, it requires premium payments," said Podolyak.

The adviser to the head of the OP believes that freezing the conflict is the best scenario for Russia, since it cannot enter and completely occupy the territory of Ukraine today.

"Plus it requires premium payments. Roughly speaking, here you need to sell your product at a big discount and at the same time buy some spare parts for this or that production with a big premium. All this will affect the economic condition of the Russian Federation," Podolyak added.

As Podolyak emphasized, if Crimea remains under Russian control, it will not be the end of the war.
