He also emphasized that it is important to leave subsidies for those categories of people who cannot pay such a price.
"The state, together with our partners, should lend a shoulder to the people in this case! But we have to understand that the state cannot subsidize everyone without exception," - said the people's deputy.
He also added that the liberalization of tariffs will give the two state companies the opportunity to stop subsidizing the population and to accumulate funds for the start of the completion of the 3rd and 4th power units of the Khmelnytsky NPP in a year.
At the same time, Ukrhydroenergo will be able to start construction of the Kanivska HPP with a capacity of 1000 MW, the cost of which is estimated at 1,2 billion US dollars.
What is the electricity tariff now?
The electricity tariff for Ukrainians has been increased once again from June 1, 2023. It became the only one and is 2,64 hryvnias per kilowatt-hour.
