The Cabinet of Ministers submitted a draft law to the Verkhovna Rada, which aims to cancel preferential taxation on fuel, introduced since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
This was reported by People's Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak. According to his information, the document provides:
- Refund of excise tax for all types of fuel without exception: instead of the "zero" rate of excise duty, the government bill establishes an excise tax of "100 euros per 1000 liters" for all types of fuel (motor gasoline, heavy distillates and other petroleum products, liquefied gas, butane, isobutane).
- VAT remains unchanged at the current rate of 7%. Argument for returning excise taxes: lack of money for road construction and repair
"For the 'specially gifted': the government introduced Not deputies," the people's representative emphasized.
According to the Government's calculations, such an initiative will bring UAH 2 billion per month.
