A snowstorm continues to rage in the central and eastern United States

The snowstorm also left almost 1,5 million residents without electricity

Along with a lot of snow, frosts down to -45°C fell on the states. People are freezing on the streets or getting into accidents due to drifts of cars and traffic jams caused by the storm. 7,1 flights were delayed, 3,1 were cancelled. Trains are delayed, and many highways are closed.

In addition, the snowstorm also left almost 1,5 million residents without electricity. Many residents cannot leave their homes because they are very frozen.

Maine, New Hampshire, New York, Virginia and Pennsylvania are reported to be experiencing the most power outages. More than 5,7 flights were also canceled on the territory of the USA.

The winter storm led to a record decline in gas production.

At the moment, 27 victims of the storm are already known in Oklahoma, Kentucky, Missouri, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Kansas, Nebraska, Ohio, New York, Colorado and Michigan.

In Iowa, the thermometer dropped to -38C, and in Montana to -45.6C. In British Columbia, Canada, the temperature reached an all-time low of -52,6C. Florida residents have been warned to be on the lookout for iguanas as they freeze and fall from trees to the ground.
