The number of people killed as a result of the rocket attack on the shopping center in Kremenchuk increased to 18 people, and more than 59 people sought medical help, 25 of them were hospitalized, Dmytro Lunin, the head of Poltava OV, said.

President Zelenskyi commented on the rocket attack on the shopping center in Kremenchuk.

"The occupiers hit the shopping center with rockets, where there were more than a thousand civilians. The mall is on fire, rescuers are fighting the fire, the number of victims is unimaginable. No danger for the Russian army. No strategic value. It is only the people's attempt to live a normal life that makes the occupiers so angry. Russia continues to take out its powerlessness on ordinary citizens. It is useless to hope for adequacy and humanity on her part."

At the moment, search and rescue operations continue, damaged building structures are dismantled with the help of heavy engineering equipment and means of small mechanization.

440 people and 70 pieces of equipment were involved in the works from the State Emergency Service.

After the rocket attack on the shopping center in Kremenchuk, the prosecutor's office started a pre-trial investigation on the fact of official negligence, which caused serious consequences (Part 2 of Article 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). In the course of the investigation, the actions of the officials of the shopping center regarding taking measures for the civil protection of employees and visitors of the center will be checked. This was reported in the Prosecutor General's Office.

A rocket attack was also confirmed under the Kredmash auto plant, which is located near the destroyed shopping center in Kremenchuk.

According to his manager, since 1989, military vehicles have not been produced there, only cars for civilians. Meanwhile, the number of victims from the attack on the shopping center has increased to 25, reported the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Monastyrskyi.

"As of today, we have 18 dead bodies, 21 missing. Some of them may be from these 18 victims who have already been found. Since the bodies of most are unknown due to the fact that they were badly burned. Therefore, the numbers are not final yet," — head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Denys Monastyrskyi.
