Kyiv-Chisinau train service resumed after a 24-year break

Ukraine and Moldova resumed the movement of passenger trains on the Kyiv-Chisinau route after a 24-year break.

Train No. 351/352 will run every other day, departing from Kyiv-Pasajyrskyi station at 17:02, arriving at Ungeny station at 07:53, to the capital of Moldova at 10:38. The return flight will depart at 17:45 p.m., pass through Ungheni at 20:51 p.m. and arrive in Kyiv at 11:48 a.m.

The train has seven carriages, five of which are compartment cars and two are reserved seats. Travel time one way is about 13 hours.

The "Train to Victory" is currently running on the route, each of its seven cars is dedicated to the temporarily occupied (at the time the project started two months ago) territory of Ukraine.

In honor of the restoration of the railway connection between the Ukrainian and Moldovan capitals, a solemn ceremony was held at the Chisinau train station on November 6.

The event was attended by Ukrainian Ambassador Marko Shevchenko, US Ambassador Kent Logsdon; Ambassador of Romania Christian-Leon Tsurcanu; General Director of Iasi International Airport Romeo Vatra and others.
