President Volodymyr Zelenskyi arrived in de-occupied Kherson and met with the military, — Reuters.
"We are moving forward. We are ready for peace. To the world for our entire country," the publication quotes him as saying.
Also, the president in Kherson thanked the allies for their support in the war against Russia and said that the supply of HIMARS was of great importance for the success of the Armed Forces.
The TV presenter asked the president why it was so important for him to be in Kherson, to which he initially joked: "What about Kherson watermelons?"
Then the president added that, to be honest, it is important for him to see people and show them that the return of territories is not just promises:
"To be honest, it is important for me to be here. Everyone takes risks, including the military and journalists. It seems to me that we should speak here and support, support the people of Kherson. So that they feel that we are not only promising, but actually returning the territories and returning our flag there," Zelenskyy said.
