Under the new import rules, animals being moved must meet the requirements of European Union legislation.
This was reported by the Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine.
"Earlier, Ukrainians traveling to Poland could cross the border with their pets under simplified conditions. It was allowed to transport dogs, cats and ferrets with a minimum package of documents. All that was required was the presence of a chip, vaccination against rabies, and recently a veterinary passport of the European standard. this is the rule," the message reads.
From now on, the following documents are required for the listed list of documents:
- chip, vaccination and test for the level of anti-narrative antibodies.
- veterinary passport of the European model;
- a health certificate and a declaration to confirm that the import is not commercial
Therefore, if you plan to go to Poland with pets, take care of their documents in advance!
