Oleg Radkovskyi, the first deputy chairman of the Odesa Regional Council, met with David Gorman, director of the "Humanitarian Dialogue Center" (HD Center) from Eurasia and Latin America, and Mykhailo Nemyrya and Dmytro Shibalov were also part of the delegation.
David Gorman has been working in the field of conflict resolution and humanitarianism for over twenty years, and has been involved in peacekeeping activities in Asia, the Middle East, Eurasia, Africa and Latin America.
As Oleh Radkovskiy said, at the meeting with the delegation of the Geneva "Center for Humanitarian Dialogue", they discussed the problematic issues of work and life in the Odesa region and the southern region in general.
"The director of the Center for Humanitarian Dialogue, David Gorman, has close contacts with representatives of the UN and UNICEF and has been engaged in peacekeeping activities and helping victims of conflicts for more than twenty years. Today, they are planning to create a large humanitarian hub in Odesa, where aid will be delivered to the southern regions of Ukraine - Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kherson and Kirovohrad oblasts, - said Oleg Radkovskyi, - From our side, we are working out the issues of logistics and communication in order to simplify all bureaucratic procedures as much as possible and quickly delivery of humanitarian aid and its distribution among the population".
In addition, the delegation of the Center met with the head of the Odesa Regional Council, Hryhoriy Didenko, and the deputy mayor of Odesa, Serhii Tetyukhin.
In Ukraine, David Gorman's "Center for Humanitarian Dialogue" has been operating since 2014, in general, the organization deals with more than 40 countries of the world, where an armed conflict is currently ongoing or last year was.
