In the weight category "up to 55 kilograms", Angelica defeated Francesca Cavallaro from Italy (2:0) and Maya Schierer from Switzerland (9:0) at the group stage, and Sonya Pereira from Spain in the quarterfinals (judges' decision after a 3:3 tie). , in the semi-finals - the Estonian Lee Lirisman (2:1), and in the final she dealt with the Egyptian Youssef Ahlam (5:2).
In the final fight with a score of 2:2, the woman from Odessa managed to perform her "crown": ura-mawashi, for which the "ippon" (highest grade) is awarded in karate.
