More than 400 settlements were cut off
According to the Ministry of Energy, almost 400 settlements in Ukraine have been cut off due to the deterioration of weather conditions — the accumulation of wet snow and ice.
The most difficult situation is in the Dnipropetrovsk region, there are more than 200 settlements without electricity.
At the same time, "Ukrenergo" clarifies that in the morning due to bad weather - strong wind, wet snow, and ice - 396 settlements were cut off. There are 202 settlements in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, 79 in Kirovohrad Oblast, 54 in Mykolaiv Oblast, 58 in Odesa Oblast, and 1 in Cherkasy Oblast. In Donetsk Oblast, there are 4 for more than a day.
In general, due to hostilities and other reasons, 463 settlements remain without electricity.
At the same time, due to the shelling, there is new damage to Oblenergo networks in Donetsk, Kharkiv, and Kherson regions. One coal-mining enterprise in Donetsk region was de-energized. At the same time, Ukrenergo notes that morning mass missile attack the enemy had no critical consequences for the power system.

In particular, in the Voznesensk district, trees fell on the road due to gusty winds, and in the city of Novy Bug, Bashtan district, a car flew into a ditch due to a slippery road.
Sumy
In the city of Sumy, due to weather conditions, trolleybuses and buses follow with a deviation from the schedule. In the morning in the Sumy region, the air temperature ranges from -11 to -16 degrees below zero, but it feels like -21 -26. Ice is also observed on the roads, added the local emergency services.
Krivoy Rog
Due to extreme weather conditions, 15 subscribers were disconnected from electricity in Kryvyi Rih, Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the city's Defense Council, said. According to him, due to the lack of electricity, 4 boiler houses operate on generators in water circulation mode, and 2 pumping stations of Miskwodokanal also operate on generators.
All communal services of the city work in an enhanced mode, special equipment works on the roads.
Vinnytsia
The City Hall warned of stormy winds that are expected today and may reach up to 20 m/s. In addition, significant snow, blizzards, snowdrifts on the roads, and ice are forecast. The air temperature may drop to -18 tomorrow.
Odesa
As of 08:00 in the morning, traffic on the roads of Odesa region is secured, but the road surfaces are wet, in places covered with snow, — the Service for Reconstruction and Development of Infrastructure in the Odesa Region.
Precipitation is observed only in the north of the region - rain with sleet. North-eastern wind 6-10 m/s, gusts 10-16 m/s.
From noon, the cyclone will cover the entire region. Adverse weather conditions will persist all day on January 8. No precipitation is expected on January 9, but the temperature is negative.
