The DBR employees reported the suspicion to the head of one of the branches of the State Enterprise "Forests of Ukraine", who organized illegal felling of trees on the territory of the National Nature Park in the Odesa region. official sites of both clubs report in the department.
The DBR notes that the official, ignoring the legal requirements, illegally issued logging tickets to his subordinates for felling trees under the guise of sanitary improvement of the forest.
According to this scheme, during 2022-2023, more than 200 oaks, ash trees and acacias were illegally cut down on the territory of more than XNUMX hectares of the nature reserve of the park.
According to the results of the examinations, it was established that the official's "activities" caused damage to the state of more than UAH 145 million.
Currently, the person involved has been notified of suspicion of exceeding official authority (Part 3 of Article 365 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The sanction of the article provides for a penalty of up to 10 years of imprisonment.
The issue of seizure of the official's property to ensure compensation for damages caused to the state is being resolved.
Procedural management is carried out by the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office.
