From July 11, 2022, amendments to Article 13 of the Law of Ukraine on the Protection of the Population from the Harm of Tobacco Smoke will enter into force.
Ordinary and electronic cigarettes, aikos/glo and even hookahs are prohibited.
A fine of 51 to 171 hryvnias is imposed for smoking in an unauthorized place. For a repeated violation, you will have to pay from UAH 170 to UAH 340.
The fines for placing ashtrays and hookahs in unauthorized places are higher - UAH 1000 for the first violation, UAH 10 for the second violation within a year.
It is still tougher for cafes and restaurants - you will have to pay UAH 3000 for the first time, and UAH 15 for the second.
