Currently, there is a deficit in the energy system of Ukraine, which worsens with every degree of cold.
Each degree of cold adds an additional load, which requires the involvement of new generation facilities.
Even if there are no new attacks on the energy infrastructure, the energy system will not recover soon, said Oleksandr Kharchenko, director of the Energy Research Center.
According to him, without new shelling, the minimum necessary period for the restoration of the power system is several months, full restoration will take a year and a half.
"Even if we leave aside the attacks, the outages and stabilization schedules will not go anywhere for another couple of months. That's the least," he said.
