The residence permit for Ukrainian refugees in Italy, which was issued on March 4, 2022 for 12 months, is automatically extended for another six months.
The Italian government decided to extend temporary protection for Ukrainians until December 31, 2023.
It is reported that the validity period of the residence permit issued to citizens of Ukraine who received temporary protection will be extended automatically, there is no need to submit an additional application.

Medicine. Ukrainians can receive free medical care until June 30, 2023.
Work. Ukrainian refugees can be employed according to the same rules that apply to Italians.
Social support Ukrainians who received temporary protection are entitled to payments from the Italian government. Financial assistance is €300/month for each family member for a period of up to 3 months.
Parents of children under the age of 18 can receive an additional payment of €150/month for each child. Conditions for obtaining financing: applicants must live in separate housing (not state-owned) for at least ten days a month.
It is also reported that Maloney's government has offered a package of aid to Ukrainian refugees in the amount of 369 million euros. These funds will be used to support people arriving from Ukraine, to provide them with housing, medical and financial assistance.
