More than 60 cruise missiles and more than 10 Daggers that attacked Kyiv were destroyed
According to Serhiy Popko, the head of the KMVA, the air alert lasted almost 6 hours in total. At first, the enemy launched about one and a half dozen Shaheds on the capital of Ukraine. And after them, more than a dozen Tu-95MS strategic bombers took off, which launched Kh-101/Kh555Kh-55 cruise missiles in groups and waves.
At the same time as the missiles hit Kyiv, more than ten MiG-31K aircraft launched X-47M2 "Kinzhal" aeroballistic missiles at the capital.
"All Shahed UAVs and more than 6 dozen Kh-101/Kh555Kh-55 missiles and a dozen Kh-47M2 "Kinjal" were hit by air defense forces and means (final type and number will be given by the PS)," — wrote Popko.
As a result of such a massive missile attack in the capital, there is destruction of residential buildings, damage to infrastructure. There are victims. The consequences are particularly dire in the Solomyansk district, where multi-story residential buildings caught fire. The fire trapped people on the floors. The emergency services were unblocking and evacuating people.
In particular, as a result of the massive attack in Kyiv, six districts were affected, where 7 fires broke out, namely in Obolonskyi, Pecherskyi, Podilskyi, Solomyanskyi, Svyatoshynskyi and Desnyanskyi.
Yes, the Russians shelled a high-rise building in the Solomyansk district. More than 130 people were evacuated there. About 20 people were rescued by emergency workers from blocked premises.
In total, more than 30 were recorded in the capital, Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko announced and published a video from the scene of the attack on a high-rise building in the Solomyansk district.
Due to a massive rocket attack, the Solomyan district of the capital is currently experiencing the greatest destruction. There is a mutilated high-rise building. At least 49 victims are known. One elderly woman died of her injuries in an ambulance. She was 86 years old.
"2 people died, 16 were injured. Currently, 11 victims are undergoing medical examination," the message reads Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraineand.
As of 11:00, according to the police, 16 private houses, 5 apartment buildings and 75 vehicles were damaged.
Consequences of the missile attack on other areas:
— there is a supermarket fire in the Desnyan district;
— non-residential premises were damaged in Darnytsia district;
— in the Holosiiv district, the remains fell in an open area;
— in Pechersk district — on the roof of a 9-story residential building;
— for another high-rise building and a private house;
— in the Obolonskyi district, there is a fire in a residential building, debris falling on the territory of non-residential buildings and warehouses;
— in Sviatoshyn district — for non-residential development;
— there is a fire on the territory of the market in Podilsk district; a gas pipe, water mains were damaged and approximately 6 cars were involved; and the remains fell on non-residential buildings. It is also possible for a residential building to catch fire.
— Shevchenkiv district — remains falling on open territory.
Kyiv region
In the Kyiv region, Boryspil, Buchan, and Fastiv districts were affected.
In particular, the fire at Fastivskyi's apartment building was eliminated. Two people died.
In addition, 5 apartment buildings and more than 40 cars were damaged in Vyshnevo. 7 people were injured.
In the Kyiv region, 16 private houses, 5 apartment buildings and 75 vehicles were damaged.
