The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, had a telephone conversation with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi. The talks between the two leaders will take place after conversations Erdogan with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
The President of Turkey declared his readiness to mediate in the resolution of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
In addition, during the conversation, the colleagues discussed energy support for Ukraine and the development of the grain corridor.
Erdogan also noted that in order to speed up the process of creating a safety zone around the Zaporizhzhia NPP, Turkey can make its diplomatic contribution.
Volodymyr Zelenskyi also commented on the conversation with the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
"We discussed with the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan the security cooperation of our countries, the issue of nuclear safety, in particular the situation at the ZNPP. There should be no invaders there. They also discussed the exchange of prisoners of war under Turkish mediation, the development of the grain agreement. We appreciate Turkey's willingness to participate in the implementation of our peace formula."
