If you thought that in January you will have to work many times less and everyone will be able to enjoy the holidays, you were wrong. After all, in the first month of the new year, there are no additional days off. The reason is martial law.
In accordance with the law on the organization of labor relations in conditions of martial law, until the end of martial law in Ukraine, all weekends for public holidays or the transfer of weekends to weekdays have been canceled.
If the war continues in the country, martial law will be extended again.
So, although the New Year and Christmas celebrations fall on the weekend, the Mondays after them will be working days.
And now let's summarize:
- in January 2023, there will be 22 working days and only 9 weekends in Ukraine.
- we will have a legal rest: January 1, January 7-8, 14-15, 17-18, 28-29.
Of course, these regulations apply to employees of state-owned enterprises and institutions, and managers of private companies can set their own rest and work schedules.
