The Odesa Regional Council plans to carry out large-scale repairs in the Odesa Palace of Sports on Shevchenko Avenue. The regional administration for property relations announced a tender for the development of the reconstruction project. He will spend 11,9 million hryvnias on this.
Now officials are looking for a company that will develop a project for the reconstruction of the building. Electronic auctions will be held on November 30. Designers are given almost an hour for development: documentation must be submitted by March 2023.
This project will determine the approximate cost of reconstruction of the complex, which is technically and morally obsolete. Previously, this reconstruction was estimated at UAH 250-260 million.
The specifications for the design indicate that the Sports Palace should be a multi-functional complex. Sports events, concerts, exhibitions, forums and other commercial and social activities are planned to be held here.
According to the specification, the Sports Palace must meet all the requirements for holding national and international competitions in the following sports:
- hockey and sledge hockey,
- figure skating,
- curling,
- basketball,
- volleyball,
- handball,
- mini football
- sports and rhythmic gymnastics,
- sports dances,
- strength sports and martial arts.
There should be at least 3 spectator seats inside the Palace of Sports. Designers should develop proposals for the appearance of the facade of the building, improvement of the territory, provide for parking.
Apparently, the reconstruction project of the Palace of Sports is a step towards including it in the presidential program "Big Construction" with the subsequent allocation of money from the state budget.
