The Verkhovna Rada supported it in the first reading draft law No. 5877, which provides for increased administrative and criminal liability for violation of legislation in the construction industry.
236 People's Deputies voted "for" the document, with the minimum required of 226.
What does the bill plan to change?
According to Deputy Minister of Community and Territorial Development Natalya Kozlovskaya, the document is designed to create equal conditions for all participants in the construction market.
The draft law provides for:
- increase in fines for offenses in the field of urban planning;
- a clear definition of the range of subjects on which administrative fines may be imposed;
- regulation of the issue of unauthorized construction by temporary arrest of objects of illegal construction;
- strengthening of criminal liability for unauthorized construction, including in the territories of monuments of cultural heritage.
