The chatbot from the startup OpenAI is now available in Ukraine, but it will not work in the territories temporarily occupied by the Russian Federation.
About this reports informed Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.
OpenAI released the ChatGPT neural network in late November 2022 as a chatbot, making it free in all countries except those under international sanctions. For unknown reasons, the service remained unavailable to Ukrainians for almost three months. According to Mykhailo Fedorov, the Ministry of Digitization has been pushing for the opening of access for a long time through letters, calls and meetings with developers.
"ChatGPT is now available in Ukraine. The team of the Ministry of Digitization has been working on this decision for a long time - official letters, phone calls and a meeting with the management," the message reads.
According to the minister, Ukraine was removed from the list of countries where ChatGPT is blocked. The program will not work only in the territories temporarily occupied by Russia, so that it is not used for anti-Ukrainian propaganda.
From February 18, users from Ukraine can use ChatGPT for free by asking him questions. To do this, just go to broker and sign in using a Google or Microsoft account.
