On March 25, a batch of vaccines against COVID-19 CoronaVac manufactured by the Chinese company Sinovac Biotech was sent to Ukraine. The Embassy of Ukraine in China reports this on its Facebook page.
This is the first batch of 1,915 million vaccines ordered by Ukraine.
The specified inactivated vaccine, which was registered by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine on March 10, passed all stages of clinical studies, officially confirmed its effectiveness and safety, and is now widely used to protect the population from the pandemic in China, Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Turkey, Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia.
Sinovac Biotech was founded in 1999. Currently, it is the world leader in the development and production of vaccines of various types (hepatitis A and B, chicken pox, bird flu H5N1, swine flu H1N1, enteroviruses, etc.).
