At its meeting on December 16, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a bill that, among other things, prohibits the smoking of electronic cigarettes in public places.
The bill was supported by 317 deputies.
The bill also prohibits the display, advertising, promotion of sales and sponsorship of smokeless tobacco products and devices to ensure the smoking of tobacco products, introduces labeling requirements, prohibits the use of flavoring additives (fruit, berry) that mislead consumers and Prohibits use in public places.
In this way, the deputies equated aikos and vapes to regular cigarettes.
The objectives of the draft law are to reduce the prevalence of tobacco product use among the population and bring legislative and regulatory acts closer to international and European integration requirements;
