The National Research Center named after N. F. Gamalea, the Anglo-Swedish biopharmaceutical company AstraZeneca, the Russian Direct Investment Fund and R-Pharm have adopted a memorandum of cooperation to combat the coronavirus.
After that, the director of the Gamalea Center, Alexander Ginzburg, announced the start of joint clinical trials of the combination of the Russian "Sputnik V" and the drug AZD1222, developed by AstraZeneca and the University of Oxford.
It is worth noting that according to the COVAX mechanism, Ukraine will receive 8 million doses of the coronavirus vaccine for free. Among the drugs that can enter our country, a product from AstraZeneca is also included. That is, the Russian vaccine "Sputnik V", which was refused by the Ukrainian government, can somehow get into our country, albeit under a different name.
