Russia's aggressive war against Ukraine changed the world a lot. How does the Ukrainian president see the future? There are two options, says Volodymyr Zelenskyi in an interview with a ZDF correspondent Catherine Eigendorf.
A world of great monopolies and oppression
If the world refuses to support Ukraine and "allows Russia to defeat us", there will be a wave of shifting borders. "A big wave, because some countries are on different continents," says Zelensky. There will be a world war - "undoubtedly".
Then the world of the future will become a world of large monopolies. Bigger, stronger countries will "oppress" smaller ones and "divide the world between them".
A world of freedom and equal rights
But there is another scenario, the Ukrainian president emphasized. "Every person in this world, regardless of the size of the country, the armament of the army, who knows that they are just as protected, has the same rights as any other person in this world."
And then: "There is an example of Ukraine - no matter how great Russia is, the whole world will support you when human rights are violated."
"The world has a choice"
He himself is inclined to the second scenario - equality of rights and freedoms, according to Zelensky: But: "The world must make its own choice."
