Carlson published a two-hour interview with Putin: the main points from the sensational interview

Vladimir Putin gave an interview to ex-Fox-News journalist Tucker Carlson, who was distinguished by Ukrainophobic statements and justified the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The conversation lasted for two hours. Carlson published the interview on his page in the social network Х.

Russian President Vladimir Putin's interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson demonstrates the Kremlin's connection with Donald Trump's Republican Party.

According to write The Washington Post, this material should have been a great victory for Carlson and Putin. For the Russian president, it was a chance to justify his invasion of Ukraine, and for the journalist, it was a chance to increase his relevance after being fired from the TV channel and promote his new media company.

It is noted that the Russian leader will try to use this interview to portray Russia as a country acting in self-defense, surrounded by NATO and the CIA. According to analysts, Putin agreed to the interview in order to be able to appeal to Republicans before the presidential elections in the United States.

ElitExpert collected the main key topics from Putin's two-hour interview with Carlson.

The President of the Russian Federation decided to start the interview with "history". He told Carlson that the ideas of "Ukrainization" of the southern lands of Russia were actively "promoted" by the Austrian General Staff before the First World War. According to Putin, Ukrainians have the right to consider themselves a separate nation, but not on the basis of "Nazism and Nazi ideology." Russia has not yet achieved the goals of the war, since the goal of the so-called "SVO" is the "denazification" of Ukraine and the banning of neo-Nazi movements.

"We have not yet achieved our goals in Ukraine, because one of the goals is denazification. This means banning all kinds of neo-Nazi movements. It is necessary to get rid of those people who leave this theory and practice in life and try to preserve it - that is what denazification is. You know, no matter how strange it seems to you, during the negotiations in Istanbul, we still agreed that neo-Nazism would not be cultivated in Ukraine, and in particular, it would be prohibited at the legislative level. This, it turns out, can be done during the negotiation process. And here there is nothing humiliating for Ukraine, as for a modern civilized state. Is any state allowed to promote the Nazis? No, right? That's all", - Putin said.

Russian President Vladimir Putin accused Ukraine of disrupting the negotiations in 2022. According to him, Kyiv decided to end the dialogue at the behest of the West and the USA.

According to Putin, all the "events" started with some kind of coup d'état in Ukraine, as well as with hostilities in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions. Russia wants to "end" the war through negotiations, but Kiev allegedly refused dialogue with Moscow on the instructions of Washington, so now the US will have to "solve" this problem.

According to Putin, he still wants to end the war through negotiations. The same negotiations that took place in 2022 reached a very high stage of agreement on positions and were "almost complete". The President of the Russian Federation stated that after Russia allegedly "withdrew" its troops from Kyiv, Ukraine "rejected" the agreements at the behest of the West. Kiev allegedly received an order from the US to fight the Russian Federation "to the end".

The head of the Kremlin said that the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, forbade negotiations with Russia and signed a corresponding decree.

"The President of Ukraine issued a decree prohibiting negotiations with us. Let him cancel this decree, and that's it. We have never refused negotiations. We hear all the time: is Russia ready, is it ready? But we did not refuse! They publicly refused. Well, let him cancel his decree and enter into negotiations," — Putin said.

He believes that Ukraine is now "putting forward conditions" that Russia cannot agree to. Putin also said that the war would supposedly "end in weeks" if the US stopped supplying Kiev with weapons.

The President of the Russian Federation stated that after the collapse of the USSR, the USA pursued a policy of "pressure" towards the Russian Federation. Washington allegedly wants to drag Ukraine into NATO to the detriment of Moscow.

Vladimir Putin said that so-called "denazification" means getting rid of people who support Nazism. According to him, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky allegedly supports "Nazism" and people who promote this theory. The Russian politician is sure that the case of the head of Nazi Germany, Adolf Hitler, is "still alive", and the people who exterminated the Jews are still alive.

In addition, in the same interview, Putin stated that Ukraine allegedly placed false heroes who collaborated with Hitler at the forefront of its identity. At the same time, he declared that no Ukraine existed before the Bolsheviks came to power in Russia.

According to Putin, after the collapse of the Soviet Union, Ukraine allegedly "took with it everything it received from the lordly shoulder" of Russia. Moreover, after 1991, the United States pursued a policy of "pressure" on the Russian Federation. The head of the Kremlin said that Washington wants to "draw" Ukraine into NATO to the detriment of the Russian Federation. Russia itself, as Putin put it, "voluntarily" went to the collapse of the USSR.

In addition, the Russian president stated that the West allegedly began to realize the impossibility of a strategic defeat of Russia.

"The West began to realize the impossibility of a strategic defeat of Russia, let it think about what to do next, we are ready for dialogue." Putin said.

About the participation of the USA in the war in Ukraine

Putin said that the US has a lot of internal problems in the country that need to be solved, meanwhile Washington is fighting in Ukraine instead.

"Don't Americans have anything to do? You have problems at the border. Problems with migration, problems with the national debt. Over $33 trillion. You have nothing to do. That is why you should fight in Ukraine. Isn't it better to negotiate with Russia? To come to an agreement, already understanding the situation that is developing today, understanding that Russia will fight for its interests to the end, and, understanding this, in fact, return to common sense, start treating our country, its interests with respect and look for some decision?", Putin said.

About the peoples of Russia and Ukraine

According to the head of the Kremlin, Ukrainians supposedly still consider themselves "Russians", and therefore the war will have an element of "civil" conflict.

"This endless mobilization in Ukraine, hysteria, internal problems, all this... Sooner or later, we will come to an agreement anyway. And you know what? Perhaps, even surprisingly, in today's situation, it will be heard: relations between peoples will be restored in the same way. It will take a long time, but it will recover. What is happening is to some extent an element of civil war. And everyone in the West thinks that the hostilities have forever separated one part of the Russian people from another. No. The reunion will happen. It didn't go anywhere," — Putin said.

About the threat of a new world war

Putin stated that Russia has no interests in Europe and that the Russian Federation would send its troops, for example, to Poland if it attacked Russia.

"NATO countries are talking about a global war and a nuclear conflict, and they are trying to intimidate their population with an imaginary Russian threat. This is an obvious fact. And thinking people - not everyday people, but thinking people, analysts, those who are engaged in real politics, just smart people - understand very well that this is a fake. The Russian threat is inflating. Russia will send its troops to Poland only in one case: if Poland attacks Russia. Why? Because we have no interests in Poland, Latvia, or anywhere. Why do we need this? We simply don't have any interests," — Putin said.
