In the current situation, it is extremely necessary to focus not only on social and political problems, but also to engage in information hygiene. This was announced by the TV and radio presenter, brand manager of Ukrainian athletes, founder of the sports media resource "Playpro.media" and one of the members of the organizing committee of the "Elite of Ukraine 2020" rating, which started in August, Krystyna Ped.
According to her, task #1 of the Ukrainian elite is to regain their trust professionally.
"Today, when the world found itself in such a rather difficult situation, when it turned out that we are completely unprepared for drastic changes, when there is a crisis in the country - economic, political, cultural - chaos reigned everywhere. At this moment, of course, there was an information crisis associated with the filtering of information, distrust of modern leaders appeared. And, in fact, it is now very important to find those people who really develop and represent our country in a positive way, who are recognized as gurus in their fields of activity," said Kristina Ped.
She noted that, unfortunately, the very understanding and meaning of the word "elite" in the 21st century has acquired a negative color, which urgently needs to be changed.
"After all, elitism in itself implies objectivity, selectivity, sophistication - accordingly, we need new benchmarks, opinion leaders, those who work strictly for the result," explained Kristina Ped.
And she added that the role of the media is, of course, one of the key ones in this process.
"We must all unite to find these people, to form the same Ukrainian elite and give a new push to the development of our country. After all, proper interaction and education can give a phenomenal result," the expert said.
As a reminder, in Ukraine on August 12 a new large-scale project was launched - the National Rating of Influence "Elite of Ukraine". It was founded by the International Expert Club and rating agency "ElitExpert".
