Ekaterina Bogachynskaya: the lockdown will have a catastrophic effect on restaurateurs

At the same time, not everyone agrees to play fairly by the rules.

Since October 18, the Odesa region has been in the "red zone" in terms of the level of coronavirus incidence. Among the restrictions of the red zone is a ban on the operation of public restaurants, except for delivery and take-out.

ElitExpert talked to Ekaterina Bogachynskaya, the PR manager of the Odesa coastal restaurant "Buffet on Maly Fontana", to find out how entrepreneurs in the catering industry relate to the imposed restrictions.

"We believe that the lockdown will have a catastrophic effect on the work of restaurants. including ours, because we follow all the rules regarding the requirements of the Ministry of Health. But we understand that not all people are vaccinated and will be ready to provide certificates. At the moment, we are not ready for 100% vaccination. A little later, when the percentage of vaccinated people increases — both among visitors and among employees — the restrictions of the red zone on the work of the restaurant will not affect anyone," said Ekaterina Bogachynskaya.

However, according to her data, many Odessa restaurants "close to the authorities" do not observe the strict rules of the red zone, and this is unfair to those restaurateurs who responsibly responded to the restrictions.

We remind you that during the "red" zone of adaptive quarantine, restrictions do not apply if 100% of staff, visitors and participants have a "green" COVID-certificate confirming a full course of vaccination.
