Daniel Terzenbach, a member of the board of the Federal Employment Agency of Germany, said in an interview with dpa that Ukrainian refugees help solve the problem of labor shortage in the country. This is reported by DW.
According to the official, as of today, 65 refugees from Ukraine have started paying social insurance contributions. Another 21 Ukrainians work in "mini-jobs", where the salary does not exceed 520 euros per month, due to which contributions to social deductions are not collected.
"Tertzenbach expects that in the coming weeks and months, tens of thousands more refugees from Ukraine who complete language courses will enter the German labor market," writes DW.
A representative of the German employment agency believes that such statistics show that Ukrainians plan to stay in Germany for a long time.
Earlier it was reported that for the sake of refugees from Ukraine, Germany limited migration from other countries.
Before that, it was reported that by the beginning of 2023, the number of refugees from Ukraine to European countries had reached almost 8 million people.
