Zelenskyy signed a law on new rules for reserving workers during martial law

The reservation period is up to 45 calendar days and is provided no more than once a year.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed Law No. 4630-IX, which regulates the peculiarities of labor relations during martial law. This is stated on the website The Verkhovna Rada.

One of the key innovations is the ability to reserve employees of defense-industrial complex enterprises, even if they have violations or problems with military registration.

The law provides:

  • booking is made only once a year and does not exempt the employee from liability for violations;
  • for new employees of defense industry enterprises, a maximum probationary period of 45 days is established;
  • The employer has the right to dismiss an employee if he or she fails to correct the violation of military registration within the specified period.

The document expands the possibilities of booking for military personnel who work at critical enterprises, institutions and organizations. This category includes individuals who:

  • do not have properly executed military registration documents;
  • are not registered with the military at all;
  • did not specify their personal data;
  • are wanted for violating military registration rules or defense and mobilization legislation.

Such employees can be booked regardless of the number of employees already booked at this institution. The booking period is up to 45 calendar days from the date of conclusion of the employment contract, and it is provided no more than once a year.
