The Verkhovna Rada adopted a law on voluntary return to service for those who voluntarily left the military unit or deserted for the first time. Military service and the validity of the contract will be extended. People's deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak reported this in Telegram.

According to his data, project No. 12095 was supported by 253 deputies.
The law establishes legal guarantees and mechanisms for the continuation of military service for servicemen who voluntarily left military units or places of service or deserted.
Norms of the law
According to the law, during the period of martial law, military service and the validity of the contract continue for servicemen who voluntarily left military units or places of service for the first time or deserted and voluntarily arrived at the place of service and expressed their willingness to continue their service.
In addition, monetary payments and implementation of food, material, other types of security, benefits and social guarantees are being resumed.
At the same time, the initiated criminal proceedings are not grounds for refusing the continued military service of such servicemen and the validity of their contract.
