The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, approved the decision of the National Security and Defense Council, which provides an order to dismiss all heads of regional military committees.
The relevant decree made public August 17 on the website of the Office of the President.
By his decree, Zelensky implemented the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine dated August 11, 2023 "On the results of the inspection of the territorial centers of recruitment and social support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine."
Oleksiy Danilov, secretary of the NSDC, was entrusted with monitoring the implementation of decisions.
The decision of the National Security Council refers to the dismissal of regional military commissars from their posts, stopping the practice of their rotations.
"To appoint, on the recommendations of the commanders (commanders) of operational-tactical groups, operational-strategic groups of troops (forces) to the positions of heads of regional territorial centers of recruitment and social support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, officers who directly participate in combat operations, and on the condition of passing they are checked by the Security Service of Ukraine," says the decision of the National Security Council.
