The Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security has supported the decrees on the next extension of martial law and mobilization in Ukraine. This was announced by MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak in Telegram.
"Also, the VRU Committee on National Security supported the decrees No. 14367 and No. 14366 on the extension of martial law and mobilization submitted once again for approval by the Rada," — the People's Deputy noted.
According to him, the new decrees were unanimously supported by the people's deputies. Thus, martial law is again proposed to be extended for 90 days.
It is worth noting that this will be the 18th time the Rada has voted on these issues. The term of the previous decrees is valid until February 3, and accordingly the extension will be until May 4, 2026.
"Further approval this week, most likely January 14, in the Council chamber, where 226 or more votes are needed," — Zheleznyak added.
