76% of charitable organizations (BO) and 87,5% of public organizations (GO) did not submit their financial statements for 2023. But the trend is improving compared to previous years. About this reported the press service of the open data platform Opendatabot.
It is noted that 22 charitable organizations did not submit financial statements for the past year to the state statistics office. This is 417% of the total number of registered charitable institutions in Ukraine.
The message also adds that failure to submit financial data is not a wartime trend. This trend has been going on for several years. On the contrary, since the beginning of the full-scale war, the situation has even improved. For example, in 2021, 94% of BOs did not submit reports, and in 2022 - 82,4% of BOs.
The largest number of non-accountable charitable institutions are in the temporarily occupied and front-line regions: in Luhansk region (98% do not report), Donetsk region (89%), Kherson region (87%). This is probably due to difficulties in work due to hostilities.
Mykolayiv Oblast (77%), Zaporizhia Oblast (76%) and Odesa Oblast (75%) also became anti-leaders.
It is reported that funds that provide social assistance — 87%, education — 6,8%, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) — 4,3%, evade reporting most often.
By the way, among NGOs, the tendency to refuse reporting is even more noticeable. Last year, 87,5% of all registered NGOs did not submit reports, and in 2022 and 2021 there were even more such organizations - 90,8% and 96,5%, respectively.
"Since the beginning of the full-scale war, the state has not fined companies for untimely submission of financial statements - in particular, charitable and public organizations.
