The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak explained why Russia is not invited to the meeting of national security advisers and political advisers, which will take place this week in Saudi Arabia.
Yermak reported this in his Telegram channels in response to call of the President of Mexico, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, to involve Russia in the negotiations.
"We will be glad to see representatives of all countries that respect the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine at any meetings dedicated to the implementation of the Peace Formula of President Volodymyr Zelenskyi", Yermak reported.
The head of the OP added that Ukraine will be infinitely happy if the West, East, South and North work together in this format to restore the global security system.
"However, this is a forum of responsible states that respect international law and the UN Charter. Therefore, Russia will not be there." he noted.
As of Reuters, the president of Mexico called for an end to the "irrational" war in Ukraine and to involve a representative of Russia in the negotiations in the Middle East. Obrador said that Mexico will participate in the meeting in Saudi Arabia only if Ukraine and Russia are present at the same time.
