The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) announced that they had exposed a People's Deputy from "Servant of the People" for a bribe of 3,4 million hryvnias.
The corresponding message was published on the NABU Facebook page.
It is about Mykola Zadorozhny, who is suspected of extorting a bribe for not obstructing repair work on critical life support communications.
According to the investigation, in March 2024, the people's deputy offered to give him a monetary "kickback" for not obstructing the tender for the repair of the water supply in the Okhtyr district of the Sumy region.
According to NABU and SAP, the amount of the bribe was 10% of the total value of the concluded contract, and another 4% was supposed to be handed over to local law enforcement officers so that they would "turn a blind eye" to the implementation of the corruption scheme.
According to the investigation, it is about the amount of 3,4 million hryvnias.
People's deputy Zadorozhny has already been quickly expelled from the "Servant of the People" party, it was reported on the Facebook page of the political association.
