As of January 1, 2024, more than three dozen civilians were killed in the city of Odesa from missile strikes and drone attacks. Today, on New Year's Eve, this number increased - a 15-year-old boy who was celebrating the New Year with his family died in his apartment after the debris of a Russian drone fell on his house and became 34th victim of Russian terrorists.
We remember all the civilians who died in Odesa from Russian attacks, starting from February 24, 2022:
Eight people, including a three-month-old girl, died as a result of a massive rocket attack on the city and a strike on the Tiras residential complex on April 23, 2022.
The ninth victim was a teenager during the attack on the dormitory May 2, 2022. Tenth — warehouse employee during the strike on the Suvorovsky district of Odessa on May 9, 2022.
After that died:
warehouse guard in the Kyiv district of Odessa on June 20, 2022;
an employee of the Odesa port administration building who died after a kamikaze drone attack on September 23, 2022.
a security guard at one of the Odessa factories, who died on the evening of May 17, 2023, during another massive missile attack on Odessa.
Three more civilians of Odesa were killed on the night of June 10, 2023 as a result of an attack by Shahed drones, the debris of which fell on a multi-story residential building. On July 10, 2023, the number of dead as a result of this attack increased to four — a young man born in 1999 died in the hospital.
On June 14, 2023, in the morning, as a result of a "Kalibra" missile attack on the Primorsky district of the city, three more Odessans were killed, 13 people were injured. On June 21, the number of victims of the rocket attack also increased to four — one more person died in the hospital.
On July 19, 2023, after the attack on the city center, a dead 21-year-old boy was recovered from the rubble.
On July 23, another Odessa resident died in the center of Odessa.
On July 27, 2023, it became known about two more deaths: a civilian employee was killed during an attack on a seaport, and a woman's body was found under the rubble of a private house.
On September 25, 2023, as a result of a night attack, two more civilians working in a port warehouse were killed.
On December 13, 2023, a 42-year-old worker of the Odesa utility company was killed by debris from Russian drones.
On December 29, 2023, five more civilians were killed after rockets and drones hit residential buildings.
