"ElitExpert" publication continues a series of reports about the Odesa regional branch of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ORTPP), which only now, after many months of confrontation, is starting to work normally.
As we reported earlier, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine did not recognize as legitimate the re-election of the management of the ORTPP, which took place in September. After that, the commission headed by the first vice-president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mykhailo Nepran initiated a new vote, which took place on November 27. Odesa businessman and deputy of the regional council Trifon Antov was elected as the new head of the Odesa Chamber by the majority of votes.
However, not everyone was satisfied with these re-elections. The representative of Mykola Kryklyvy's team, lawyer Serhii Digol, claims, in particular, that the elections were illegal. According to him, it is about "opposition to legal economic activity committed by an organized group or an official using his official position, which led to significant damage or other serious consequences (Part 3 of Article 206 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)".
He also stated that Kryklyvy's team does not recognize the results of these elections and appoints its own "extraordinary General Assembly" to solve all the accumulated problems.
The editors managed to communicate with the newly appointed head of the ORTPP, Trifon Antov, who was officially entered into the Unified State Register as the head of the Odesa Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry on November 28, 2024.
«We gathered 115 members of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which is more than 50% of the required quorum. Such a quorum allows any decisions to be made, including appointments, dismissals and changes to the charter. For example, we voted that all member companies, regardless of the term of registration, receive equal rightsAntov commented on the situation. — Now our opponents accuse us of illegality. But I would like to point out that in September they themselves broke the law and did not even manage to officially fire the previous head of the company, Serhiy Shuvalov. We, on the contrary, carefully followed the law and took into account all the legal subtleties, because we perfectly understood that legal proceedings could begin».
Tryfon Antov added that 95 member enterprises of the chamber out of 112 present voted for his candidacy. Today, November 29, the planned "transfer of power" took place to the new management of ORTPP, which gained access to the chamber building on Bazarnaya Street.
But later it turned out that the previous management had taken with them all the computer servers, documentation and seals of ORTPP, and in addition, some offices were closed. Law enforcement agencies will now deal with this situation.
