From Monday, the Verkhovna Rada will be closed to deputies without vaccination certificates, a negative PCR test or a certificate of recovery. This was reported by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Health, Medical Assistance and Medical Insurance, Mikhail Radutsky, on his Facebook page.
"This is our initiative, and I am very glad that we managed to implement it. The authorities cannot set separate rules for themselves," he said.
People's deputies who have not yet been vaccinated will have the opportunity to do so near the Verkhovna Rada. On Monday, a new vaccination center against COVID-19 opens, located in the "National" hotel on Lipskaya Street 5. A declaration with a family doctor is not required for vaccination.
"Unfortunately, we did not manage to convince some elected officials to get vaccinated. They will have to pass the test. On Monday, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., an express testing laboratory will be open in the premises of medical clinic No. 2 at 2 Shelkovichnaya street. The deputies will be tested at their own expense," Radutsky wrote.
At the entrance to the parliament building, employees of the UGO (State Security Administration) will check the certificates in the "Action" application with the help of special devices for reading the QR code.
Note that the new rules apply not only to people's deputies, but also to employees of the Verkhovna Rada and journalists.
"The next step, which we have been talking about since the beginning of the year, is a real mechanism for bringing a deputy to administrative responsibility for violating the mask regime. The vaccination certificate does not give the right to disregard quarantine requirements," added Radutsky.
As a reminder, the head of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, signed the order on new rules for admission to the parliament due to COVID-19 on November 12.
