President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has proposed that First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko head the government. The head of state said this informed on the Web.
Zelensky said he met with Svyrydenko. She reported on the implementation of agreements with European and American partners on support for Ukraine, reached within the framework of the recovery conference.
The President noted that "we must implement as soon as possible everything that can support the stability of our state and society."
The Head of State and the Minister also discussed specific measures that could strengthen Ukraine's economic potential, expand citizen support programs, and scale our own weapons production.
"With this goal in mind, we are beginning the transformation of the executive branch system in Ukraine. I have proposed to Yulia Svyrydenko to head the government of Ukraine and significantly update its work. I look forward to presenting the new government's action program in the near future," — Zelenskyy's statement says.
