Zelenskyy argued with Trump and Vance during the meeting (video)

The incident happened live on air.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed with US President Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance the Russian Federation's war against Ukraine. Incident happened live on air.

During a meeting of the Ukrainian and American delegations in the Oval Office, Vance once again criticized the 46th US President, Joe Biden.

"For four years we had a president who stood at press conferences and talked about Putin. And Putin attacked Ukraine and destroyed most of the country," Vance said.

He added that Biden was “beating his chest” and “pretending that the word of the US president is worth more than his deeds.” But now Trump is showing “real deeds” to end the war.

Zelensky asked the vice president what diplomacy could help end Russia's war against Ukraine, which has repeatedly violated ceasefire commitments since 2014, when Barack Obama, Donald Trump and Joe Biden were in power in the United States.

"I signed an agreement in 2019. Both Macron (French President Emmanuel Macron — ed.) and Merkel (Angela Merkel was German Chancellor at the time — ed.) confirmed the ceasefire. And everyone assured me that no one would go any further. We signed a gas contract. He (Putin — ed.) broke our agreement, did not exchange prisoners. What kind of diplomacy can help here?" — the president asked.

After that, Vance started talking about Ukraine not having enough people for the war against Russia and the country allegedly "cannot recruit soldiers for the army."

Trump's reaction

Trump began to claim that Ukraine did not have "the right cards in its hands."

"Millions of people are at risk. We are on the verge of World War III. You can't play with this. You are showing disrespect to our country and you can't tell us what to do," — he declared in a raised tone.

The US President once again cited false data that the US had provided Ukraine with $350 billion in military aid. And if it weren't for this aid, Russia's war against Ukraine would have ended within two weeks.

"I've already heard that from Putin," — Zelenskyy replied to the American leader.

Trump responded by urging Zelensky to be grateful for the assistance provided.

"You are running out of soldiers, and you tell us: 'I don't want a ceasefire, I don't want a ceasefire...'" the US president continued.

According to Trump, if Zelenskyy has the opportunity to negotiate a ceasefire, he will need to take it.
