President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will lead Ukraine's delegation to the Munich Security Conference. It will take place from February 14 to 16. About this informed Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak in a comment to the Associated Press.
The Munich conference will also be attended by US Special Representative for Ukraine and Russia Keith Kellogg and US Vice President J.D. Vance.
Yermak, who will also participate in the conference, said that the Ukrainian delegation will present the country's position on ending the war and its views on how to achieve a lasting and lasting peace.
According to the head of the OP, at the meeting in Munich, Ukraine hopes to discuss what security guarantees can be applied to prevent repeated Russian aggression.
Yermak noted that the date of the meeting between Zelensky and US President Donald Trump has not yet been determined, but, according to him, it should take place as soon as possible. He added that they are working on it.
The head of the President's Office confirmed that Kellogg will visit Ukraine in late February after the Munich Security Conference.
"I believe it is important that we go through the stage of consultations and negotiations before any plans appear in the Trump administration. Because our position is that it is impossible — and it would be a big mistake — to have any plans without Ukraine's participation in the preparation of this plan," — said Yermak.
Regarding Trump's interest in Ukrainian rare earth metals, Yermak noted that there have been no discussions on this topic yet. But he added that Ukraine is considering a partnership with the United States even after the war, and this is one of the points of the strategy.
"We want Americans to look at us not only for the democracy they helped survive during this terrible war between Russia and Ukraine," he said. "But look at us as a very important and very interesting strategic partner in the future".
