Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky awarded Polish President Andrzej Duda the Order of Freedom.
As stated in the relevant Decrees President, Duda was awarded for outstanding personal achievements in strengthening Ukrainian-Polish international cooperation, supporting the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
"To award the Order of Freedom to Duda Andrzej - President of the Republic of Poland", - says the document dated June 28.
The Order of Freedom is a state award of Ukraine, which is awarded to both citizens and foreigners for outstanding and special merits in establishing the sovereignty and independence of Ukraine, developing democracy, upholding constitutional rights and freedoms, etc.
The Order of Freedom is the highest order of Ukraine that can be awarded to foreigners and stateless persons. As of August 23, 2024, there are 28 foreign knights of the Order of Freedom.
