British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron are ready to travel to Washington next week with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to present a unified plan for resolving the war to US President Donald Trump, writes Daily Mail.
Zelensky, for his part, posted a post on X (Twitter), in which he emphasized that he was "ready to work quickly to end the war" and even expressed his willingness to sign a mineral agreement.
"It's a shame that this happened. It's time to do everything right. We would like to see further cooperation and communication be constructive," — he noted.
His statement reportedly came shortly after a phone call with Starmer, during which the British leader warned Zelensky about the need to improve relations with Trump in order to have a chance of gaining American support in reaching a peace deal that would help Ukraine defend itself against Russia.
Starmer later said he welcomed the Ukrainian leader's "unwavering commitment to the search for peace."
