If US President Donald Trump can bring Ukraine and Russia to the negotiating table, Kyiv could offer Moscow a direct exchange of territories by handing over the captured lands in the Kursk region. About this said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in an interview with The Guardian.
"We can exchange one territory for another," he said.
Zelensky stressed that he does not yet know what part of the territories occupied by Russia Ukraine will ask for in return.
"I don't know, we'll see. But all our territories are important, there is no priority," the president added.
Recall that Ukraine has been conducting active hostilities in the Kursk region since August last year. According to the Deep State map, the Armed Forces of Ukraine control over 400 square kilometers in the Russian region.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that the Kursk operation was a strong trump card for Ukraine in negotiations. This especially applies to the countries of the Global South, which considered Russia "invincible."
