The Ukrainian national team finished the 2026 Olympics without medals: a historic anti-record

The last competition for Ukraine at the 2026 Olympics was to be the women's mass start in cross-country skiing, scheduled for the closing day of the Games — Saturday, February 22.

Only one of the four Ukrainians, Anastasia Nikon, was going to take part there. However, due to illness, the Ukrainian skier will not run the race, it was reported exclusively for Community Sports in the Ukrainian national team.

Thus, Ukraine has already completed its performances at the 2026 Olympic Games. The "blue-yellow" team has not won a single award.

This is the third time in history that Ukraine has failed to win a medal at the Winter Olympics. Before that, our team did not win a single medal at the 2002 and 2010 Games.

In total, over the nine Winter Olympic Games (1994-2026), the Ukrainian national team won nine medals: three gold, two silver, and four bronze.

Ukraine was represented at the XXV Winter Olympics by 46 athletes who competed for medals in 11 sports.

As a reminder, at the two previous Winter Olympics, the Ukrainian national team won one medal each - freestyler Oleksandr Abramenko won gold in Pyeongchang-2018 and silver in Beijing-2022.
