The official helped conscripts to leave for European countries under the guise of fuel truck drivers from a commercial enterprise that was supposed to deliver diesel fuel for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and humanitarian needs of the capital. The official's illegal activities were documented by investigators of the capital's police under the procedural guidance of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office, official sites of both clubs report law enforcement officers
The National Police note that, at the direction of the person involved, from May to June 2022 alone, information on more than 30 men of draft age who, without having legal grounds, crossed the border of Ukraine was entered into the "Shlyakh" information system.
However, the investigation found that the company on whose behalf the letters of approval for travel abroad were provided did not have vehicles or a license to conduct business activities. Moreover, some of its "employees" did not have driver's licenses of the appropriate category, or they were not employed at all.
Based on the collected evidence, the 41-year-old official was notified of suspicion under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:
- Part 2 of Article 332 – illegal smuggling of persons across the state border of Ukraine, committed by an official using his official position;
- Part 3 of Article 362 – unauthorized actions with information that is processed in electronic computers, automated systems, computer networks or stored on media of such information, committed by a person who has the right to access it.
The issue of choosing a preventive measure for him is currently being decided. According to the sanction of the article, the suspect faces imprisonment for a term of up to seven years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term of up to three years.
